A good day. Ben & Henry worked on tobacco until twelve oclock. This evening Ben went to the mill with some wheat. Come by Edwards and got a load of lumber.

Reese drove Bens car & carried Josie and all the children and I to White Falls. We did not catch but a few fish.

Marvin & Jim went to look at some land near Gladys, Virginia. Carrie went to see Julia Fergerson & baby. I want to see them two.

I set a hen today.

A good morning. Ben & Jim worked on the tobacco this morning then floored the cook room. Marvin went to preaching. Reese carried him then come home and carried his mother and all the children and I to Mr Johnsons mill. The children Edna and Hazel & Eva waded a bout in the river. I fished a little. Caught four.

A man come here and bought 23 chickens and two doz eggs.

Julia and Josie are here tonight. Bus [?] Miller was sick this evening. He is the hand that worked at Marvins.

The wind broke the shade trees.

A good day. Sprinkled rain a few times. Not enough to do any good. Jim & Ben and Henry worked in the tobacco all day.

Josie washed a big washing. I helped some. We had corn & caned beef for dinner. This evening Isla & Cordie come to see Mrs Car. I was glad to see them if they did not come to see me. Trinkle was elected yester day. We are all sorry.

I have not seen any of Marvins folks today. Reese would of carried me to White Falls but I was a fraid there would be a cloud. I am sorry that I did not go.

A good day. The boys worked in the tobacco all day. I got dinner. Josie killed two chickens and baked pies. Today is Mrs Cars birth day. She is 67 years olde. Josie went to the grove to the meeting. Oscar Brumfield carried her. His mother & aunt went with him.

A Mr Roberson & Mr Hutcherson come here to see Mrs Car. She wants to sell her land. Josie come home with the sick head ache. I got supper. I think she had a fine time to day.

Mrs Car churned and washed dishes for me.

A good morning. A little rain this evening. Ben & Jim worked in the tobacco all day. Josie washed. Henry helped some. Marvin & Reese and two colored men went to Marvins place to cut some wood. It rained and they come back early. Carrie and the little children come here & stayed with us. Reese come for them with the car. I was glad that he come.

Well I have staid at home all day for one time.
