A good day. The men worked tobacco all day. Marvin helped them this evening.

Josie ironed all the morning. I watered and covered some potatoe slips this morning. I got most of the dinner. We had peas & beets for dinner to day.

This evening Josie and I went to Marvins. Josie staid with the children. Kate Harvey and Carrie and I went for straw berries. Did not find many. I have bin cappin some to night.

A good day. Jim & Ben and Henry worked tobacco all day or nearly all day. Josie washed this morning. I got dinner. I cooked cabbage & potatoes and beets & onions. All raised in the garden this year.

This evening I went to Marvins a few minutes. Carrie was sewing. I have suffered some with my hip nearly a week. I am glad that I am able to go as well as I can. Do hope it will soon get well.

A good day. The men folks worked tobacco all day. Ben went to Hubbard's store tonight. He carried three of the children with him. Josie ironed most of the day. This evening I went to Marvins. Thought I might get to go to the store but Reese was so busy that he could not go. Carry was sewing on a dress for her self. Ben got done his little[?] crop of tobacco. Hope they can get Jims done tomorrow. We have a good garden for this time of the year.

Henry is reading and it will soon be 10 oclock.
