CH. P. Plympton Esq.
My dear Sir,
The Committee on Lots, have instructed me to inform you that this Corporation will guarantee the perpetual repair of lot no 1124, Ailanthus Path, belonging to your late father's Estate, on payment of four hundred and fifty dollars.
When notified by you of your acceptance of this sum, I will prepare the necessary papers.
Truly yours
A.J. Coolidge Sec.y
Mrs. S.D. Warren Waltham Mass,
I have seen Mr Don Carlos Ayer, a jeweler in Hanover St., who is the proprietor of the lot you refer to as at the left of your own -- no. 2094.
He says he is willing the branch which extends over your own lot should be cut off, or that the tree should be trimmed up as much as the Superintendent may think necessary; but he does not wish at present, to entirely part with the tree. When the roots get more extended, and it interferes with burial purposes, he thinks, it may have to be cut down. --
Very truly yours
A.J. Coolidge Sec.y

Gentlemen,
I regret that I should be obliged to ask you again if you, who have borne so high a character for promptness in making your returns, the order for interment, with facts, of a body ^interred on 27th of April 1865 in lot of late Catherine Phinney no 1817 on Sorrel Path. The lot is the only memo. I have as yet, if that is correct. All else on the record -- name, age &c, &c -- stands as blank.
Mrs Catherine B. Goodall of Boston, a daughter, is a daughter.
Please do not delay this matter longer --
Yours truly
A.J. Coolidge Sec.y
C.H.P. Plympton Esq
Dear Sir,
I send you the contract ready for your signature & for paying over the amount mentioned therein. Not thinking you were absent from town, I added the lot to the Committee list for the semi-annual inspection today, for which reason only I desire an early payment.
In reply to your question, I will say that the amount is intended to cover the lot and "all" its appartenances. It is the appartenances -- such as an expensive monument --which, in the judgment of the Committee required rather more than you anticipated.
Very truly yours
I wish it settled as early as 1st July, if convenient.
