33 School St. Boston

G.A. Kettell Esq

Dear Sir,

Julia Willard was interred in lot no 2924 Mt Auburn on the 27th ultimo. But no order was signed by the proprietor Elisha W. Willard, nor were the particulars of age, date & place of death given. I find at the bottom of a partly filled blank order, returned to me in the file for ^the August record, this memo.-

"Mr Willard will send permit as soon as he can get it from the west."

I am informed that Mr Willard's son is at your house. Under the circumstances, will you have the kindness to see that the requirement of the properly executed order is met?

If you wish any blank for the purpose, I will furnish you.

Truly yours,

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y Mt. Au.

I send you the blank to save you trouble of sending.

33 School St. Boston,

Messrs R.A. & Q.A. Vinal

Gentlemen,

There would seem to be some doubt, if not confusion, about the location of lots 2767 to 2771 in Mt Auburn. On our plan the numbers stand in certain positions, without any intermediate boundary lines. Each lot contains 300 ft. and the lines should be shown, else errors may be made in making interments.

Before me is the order of "Robt Vinal by A.E. Vinal" for the interment on the 27th of August, of Harrie Dunbury Vinal, "in lot no. 2770, owned by Robt Vinal."

Now lot 2770 belongs to Mr Burt and the undertaker tells me that the interment was made in what he understands to be Mr Burt's lot.-

One of two things is then obvious - that either the interment was wrong, or the order for it should be corrected.

Will one of you see me - almost any day after 12 noon.

Yours truly

A.J. Coolidge Secretary of Mt. Au.
