Comee on Statuary and pedestals for same make report in part.

The President, of the Committee upon Statuary reported verbally, that two pedestals had been placed in the Chapel for statues, and that the statue of the late Mr Justice Story had been removed from the Boston Atheneum & placed in the Chapel. _

Lot 859 _ Perpetl care. referred to Com. on Lots _

An application was presented for Mrs Sumner, widow of Jesse Sumner, late proprietor of Lot 859 on Snowdrop Path, inquiring on what terms the Corporation will assume perpetual care of said lot. _

Voted to refer the application to the committee upon Lots, with full power. _

The meeting was then dissolved. _

Lot 658 _ purchased by Corporation _

A written communication was presented by Mr Tisdale stating that he had purchased of Oliver Eldredge lot no. 658 on Snowberry Path, near the gate, with the tomb, for $400, for the Corporation; and that he had received a transfer of the same to the Corporation, upon which it was

Voted that the transfer te accepted, and that Mr Tisdale's doings thereon be ratified. _

The President for the Committee on Grounds stated that the Committee, at the request of one of their members,

Voted that when this meeting adjourns, it be to meet at this place next Thursday evening, at Six O'clock. __

Trustees _ Adjourned Meeting -

A meeting of the Trustees was held according to the adjournment at the usual place on ~

There were present, the President, Messrs Cheever, Lawrence, McKean, Nazro & Tisdale. _

Eldredge, O. & E. H. _ Lots 2657, 2658 _ Special deeds authorized to preserve a passage-way

Mr Oliver Eldredge having purchased lot No 2657 at the corner of Bellwort Path and Spruce Avenue, and Edward H. Eldredge having pur- chased the adjoining lot No 2658 at the corner of Pyrola Path & Spruce Avenue,

Voted that a passage-way of six feet in width in the rear of said lots be forever kept open and free from interments, and that a covenant to that effect be inserted in each of the deeds to the Grantees. _

Bye Laws _ Report of Comee taken up _ amended &c

The report of the Committee upon Bye Laws was taken up and considered article by article: several amend- ments were incorporated into the same & they were severally passed as far as the article upon "Interments," – when the hour of adjournment, which had been fixed at 9 1/2 O'clock, having arrived, the further consideration of the Report was

postponed _
