Said statement contained the following summary of expenses on each lot.

___ "Expenses on a/c of Messrs Phipps' lot -- $822.59"
___ expenses on " [a/c] " [of] the Ellis lot - - 588.78 _"
and that arrangement had been made with the aforesaid parties for said exchange, - & it was

Voted that the expenses above stated & the action had to effect said exchanges, be & are hereby approved & ratified. _

Lot 598_ Change of position of _

Also Voted to authorize Mr Tisdale to effect a change of position of lot no. 598. (Mrs Eliza Gould's) so that it may project less towards Cypress Avenue, provided it shall remain upon one side parallel to the Lawrence enclosure: _ & to expend therefor a sum not exceeding one hundred dollars. _

The President, for the Committee upon Grounds, submitted

Garden Pond _ Filling of authorized

a report in writing, which is placed upon file, of which the following is an abstract - - : "That said Committee had made a contract, subject to the approval of the Trustees, for removing the hill & filling up the pond, east of Central Avenue & nearest the gate. The contractor is to fill up the Pond with earth taken from the hill to the height of about six & a half feet above the present surface of the water "for the sum of eight hundred & fifty dollars."

Voted_ that the report be accepted, & that said contract of the Committee be hereby ratified. --

to effect a change of the position of lot 598 (Mrs Eliza Gould's) with the same instructions as those under which he was appointed (p.55) at the meeting of the Trustees in December last. _

An adjourned meeting of the Trustees was held at the usual place on (in accordance with the vote passed at the last meeting) at 10 o'clock A.M.

There were present The President & Messrs Bangs, Cheever, Crocker, Curtis, Gould, Lawrence, McKean, Nazro & Tisdale. ~

The record of the last meeting was read & approved. _

Report of Comee on mode of keeping books, accts, &c at Gate _

Mr Nazro, in behalf of Committee appointed at the last meeting to confer with the Superintendent & report upon the best plan of keeping the books and accounts at Mount Auburn, submitted a report at length in writing, which was read, & after some remarks, it was

Office of Supt Clerk continued _

Voted that the following portion of it which relates to retaining the office of Superintendent's Clerk be adopted. _

Lot 747 & 748 united in one under no. 747.

A memorial was presented in behalf of Mr F. A. Peterson, proprietor of lots 747, & 748 situated upon Locust Avenue, each containing one hundred & fifty square feet, both being in one enclosure with one tomb in common, that said lots may be united in one, making three hundred feet, under the number 747 & thus constituting Mr Peterson a member of the Corporation: _

After consideration it was voted that the prayer of the petitioner be granted. _

Stone Farm _ as to right of Mass. Hort. Soc. in same _

Upon Motion of Mr Curtis,,

Voted that the subject of the relations of this Corporation to the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in reference to the Stone Farm be referred to the next Board of Trustees. _

The following special committees which had not before formally reported upon matters committed to them now either reported, or stated that they were not prepared to report, and were severally discharged. _

Comee on Catalogue report progress

Mr Crocker for the Committee to prepare & publish the catalogue reported that the same was making progress and would probably be issued in a few weeks. _

Comee to change position of Lot 598

Mr Tisdale, a Committee to effect a chage of the position of Mrs Eliza Gould's lot (no.598) reported that the same had been done. ~

Comee to build Supts house

Mr Cheever for the Committee to build a house for Superintendent, reported that the same had been done at an expense but little rising $4,000. _
