The Bank above Mound Av. declared to be reserved as part of the open ground of the Cemetery _

between said Avenue and Anemone Path be reserved as a part of the grounds set apart for the ornament of the Cemetery in the same manner as the open space in front of the Chapel is now reserved; and that no lots or tombs be sold or allowed to be placed in the said mound or bank, and that in all future deeds of lots on the top of said mound a covenant be inserted to that effect.

Contr. for Perpet. Repair of Lot 794.

The Secretary for the Committee on Lots reported that said Committee had contracted, subject to the approval of this Board, with Philip Marett of New Haven, Conn. for the perpetual repair of his lot numbered seven hundred and ninety four (794) for the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars _ ($350.)

and it was

Voted that the Board concur in the said contract.

Representation of Lot 1514

Upon the petition of the children _ heirs of John Bates, deceased, late proprietor of lot numbered 1514, Mary Bates of Boston, widow of said proprietor was designated to represent said lot. _

After discussion, upon motion of Mr Tobey, it was

Voted – that the report be recommitted with instructions to make such modifications therein as the Com^ee shall deem expedient after listening to the views expressed at this meeting, and submit the same if they see fit at the next meeting of the board.

Area in front of Chapel.

Upon motion by Mr Crocker,

+ Voted _ that the space in front of the chapel, bounded by Chapel , Pine and Cypress Avenues & Peony Path, and enclosing two trees planted there last month by the Prince of Wales, be enclosed or surrounded by an edge-stone of hammered granite, and that the Committee on Grounds be authorized to cause this to be done at an expense not exceeding seven hundred and fifty ($750.~) dollars.

Office for Corporation.

Mr Nazro submitted a report of which the following is a copy:

"The committee to whom was referred the matter of arranging with the Secretary for the use of rooms for the purposes of the Corporation, have

said fence, until it intersects a line drawn from a point in said fence thirty feet east of the eastern stone obelisk, and at right angles therewith; thence northerly by the said line so drawn , at right angles with said fence, to the said point in said fence thirty feet east of the eastern stone obelisk; and thence in a straight line to the place of beginning.

East, North and West of Chapel _

2^nd A space or passageway twenty feet wide on the east, north, and west sides of the Chapel; the said twenty feet to be measured from the outer face of the stone buttresses.

Front of Chapel _

3^rd All that space in front of the Chapel, bounded by Chapel, Pine, and Cypress Avenues, and Peony Path, as now laid out.

Around the Tower _

4^th The whole space adjacent to and surrounding the Tower, now enclosed by the circular or wal [sic] part of Mountain Avenue.

Auburn Lake.

5^th All the space included within the stone curb of Auburn Lake, together with the avenues or paths surrounding and next adjacent to the said curb; also all land between said avenues or paths and said curb,not exceeding thirty feet in width.

6^th All the land included within the circular part of Lawn Avenue, and which is not more than ninety feet from the Foundain now in the central part of
