Dr Renton

Dear Sir,

What progress, if any, do you make in the matter of lots numbered 1349, 1350, &c. on Oxalis Path, in the Cemetery. When we last met, (it being also the first time) I believe you proposed to go forward, & ascertain and adjust the difficulty - not doubting that such a result could be attained. I shall be happy to learn of that result.

Yours very resp.y

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y Mt. A.C.

Dear Sir,

In , you reported the condition of lot 497, Willow Ave, belonging to the estate of the late Israel Lombard, with a view to the acceptance of a bequest in his will. As the lot has undergone extensive repairs since then, will you please report on it again, as the parties now wish to finish the arrangement.

Please also report upon lot of late Benj. Fiske, no 203, Central Ave - and return to me this week, as they have a family meeting next week, and wish to place our proposition before the heirs.

Will you have the enclosed memo. handed to Edward Safford?

Truly yours

A.J. Coolidge

Capt. D.L. Winsor,

Dear Sir,

Mr Wm M. Lathrop called in this P.M. and says he thinks he gave you an order for both posting & grading lots 3363 & 3364, Acanthus P. rear of 1833 & 1856. He talked over the size of the posts, & thinks he signed his name to the order book. -- If he is in error, please inform me, and I will have him give the proper order. -- He would like to have the grading done this season, if not too late: at all events, set the posts.

As it will probably be a day or two before the surveyors get out to you, I think it will be well for you to set as many of the posts to the lots of delinquent proprietors as possible: -- and their survey would then be the more complete. I subjoin a list of ^all the earlier lots contained on the list shown you, remaining without bounds. --

Trustees - _

The regular meeting of the Trustees was held on

There were present, the President, Messrs Adams, Cheever, Livermore, Lovejoy, Norcross, Rand and Read. _

The record of the last meeting was read.

Application of Proprietors of Lots 1349 & 1350 for leave to reconvey and receive new deeds.

The Secretary stated the application of Hon. John Lowell, Guardian of the minor heirs of Geo. H. Loring, and of Abby M. Loring, deceased proprietors respectively of lots numbered 1349 and 1350, on Oxalis Path, for leave to reconvey said lots to the Corporation, in order that new deeds may issue in accordance with the following statement, and for the reasons contained therein: _

In the year 1847, contiguous lots numbered 1349 and 1350, on Oxalis Path, each containing 300 square feet, were granted respectively to George H. and Abby M. Loring, In the year 1853 (the said George H. having deceased) a grant of 300 square feet was made to the said Abby M. of land additional to said lot 1350, but which was actually separated from said lot by lot 1349. At some uncertain period thereafter, an iron fence appears to have been erected around the whole of said land, including a passage way which had been reserved between said lot numbered 1349 and said addition to lot 1350, and a division fence was also erected, which left said addition to lot 1350 in an enclosure by itself, together with said passageway
