Miss E. Warner

Dear Madam,

Your note of 16th inst is recd & contents noted.

We shall be happy to set stone steps free of charge on Dianthus Path, where you wish, if you purchase the requisite number viz 3, from some stone dealer & have them delivered to the ground, as is customary on such cases.

For a similar case I would refer you to Mrs Loring Proprietor of L 896, Olive Path who had some steps put in at the south end of Dianthus Path, leading from Myrtle Path, with a year or two of her own expense except setting which was done free of charge

Yours respectfully Jas W. Lovering Supt per AC

Dear Sir,

In looking over our papers & records, I find that no transfer back to the Corporation was made of lot 473 in Mount Auburn, as contemplated in Miss Putnam's will. The contract for perpetual repair was executed in & duly recorded, but the record of the devise of her lot to the Corporation escaped me at the time, and I suppose did you too.

If you have the deed, you can make a transfer, on the page, as exor "in accordance with the provisions of her will", to the Corporation. If you can call any day after 12 o'clock, at your convenience, I shall probably be in: or I will wait upon you at your office.

Yours very respy,

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y

Dear Sir,

Some time since you were apprized of the fact that your lot in our Cemetery no 21, on Myrtle Path, had been accidentally covered by another lot, for want of bounds or other mark designating the location of yours.

We have a new plan rapidly being engraved and shall soon also issue a new catalogue, and we should like to have you select another location now during the open season, partly for the reason above named that our new issue may be as free from error as possible but more especially as our most eligible land is being rapidly taken, which fact shortens the range for your choice. Your attention will oblige.

Yours respy. A.J. Coolidge Secretary

She thinks she will first consult her cousin, whether he may not wish for it. --

Will you, if I should not see you, please show her in the neighborhood of the new Fountain -- also the lot you purchased on Laurel Hill. --

I also mentioned to her the high ground just southerly of the new Ave you are making up by Myrtle Path. I told her it is as yet unfitted for sale. She thinks she before marked this ground.

I shall try to get up there. If the weather should be unfavorable the party will not come out. --

Truly yours

Rev.d Leonard Luce, Town Clerk Westford, Mass.

Dear Sir,

I am referred to you for information respecting John Adams, who stands on the records of our Corporation as the proprietor of lot no. 427, on Myrtle Path in the Cemetery. He disappeared from the Boston Directory in 1844 and I am informed by Mr Paul Adams that he removed to Westford & has since died. As his name does not appear on our interment records, I can only infer that his remains were not brought to Mt Auburn.

Will you please give me the facts in the case --

1st Was Westford his residence, and is it still the residence of his family?

If he is dead, when did he die? And where was he buried?

Who are his family remaining? I should not feel at liberty to trouble you, but Mr Adams said you married into the same family, and would cheerfully give me the information.

An early reply will much oblige.

Yours Respectfully

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y
