Friday February 25, 1921
A clear colde day. Ben finished stripping tobacco. Dave Walker went to Chatham. Jim went with him. Marvin carried them to Gretna. Josie got dinner. I washed some this morning. This evening Carrie come and all of the children a little while. I was glad that they come. Charles Harvey come in here a few minutes this evening.
I am so anxious to see all of the children. It keeps so colde that I cant go to see them and they dont come.
Ben got wood and water at the wash house this morning.
Tuesday March 1, 1921
A beautiful day. Jim and Marvin went to Gretna. Marvin carried his cow to Mr Scrugs and solde him the calf. He had started to ship the calf. Jim carried a box of meat to send to Chatham for his folks.
Ben solde the last of his tobacco in Danvill to day. Ben and Josie went to Danville. They bought several things. Got home at dark. I am so glad that they are all at home and all are well.
I staid here with Edna & Franklin and Mabel. I ironed until twelve oclock. Charles Harvey come in a few minutes this morning. I do want to see Kate Harvey so bad. I will go over as soon as I can.
Sunday March 13, 1921
A beautiful day. We all staid at home until noon. Then Ben & family and I went to Jim Powers. They had company both olde and young. Acie and Hessie Anderson, George Blair, Charles Harvey, and Miss Virginia Moses; Ben and his crowd and I; Mr Walter Car, & Mr Jo Hobson.
I have not seen any of Marvins folks today. I miss them most (much) as I would my folks at home.
Monday July 18, 1921
A good day. Ben & Henry and Franklin went with Marvin to Chatham. They staid all day. Jim come with them home. Josie staid at home & done the work. Charley Harvey spent the evening with Fannie Power at Aunt Josies. He carried her to church to night. I got the breakfast and milked the cows then went fishing. Reese Smith carried me. Hugh Brumfield went two. We did not catch any thing but I will go a gain the first time I can get to go.
Heard tonight that Capt Tate is very sick.
Sunday September 11, 1921
A good day. We all staid at home until after twelve. Jim fired on his tobacco all day. This evening I went to Johnson Reynols. They had a house full of company. All their people. Posie & family, Clack & family and Jim Thomson & family and I. I think they enjoyed having them. They made ice cream and had cake. Rubin brought me home on Jim Thomsons car.
Ben & family went to see Mag & children. I was glad that they went. I want to go soon to see them all.
We had a good rain last night.
