Cloudy most of the day but no rain yet. Ben & Jim stripped tobacco all day. Ben went to the store just at night. Charles Harvey come and staid a while. Marvin solde his car this morning.

Kate come this evening a few minutes. Carrie come and brought me some peas. I shelled them tonight. Mr. Owen did not come home from Boston to day.

Lee Brumfield went to Danville to day. Effie & Beaulah commenced teaching school to day.

A very warm day for Oct. Ben & Jim and Owen plowed until dinner then Owen went to help Tom Peak shuck corn.

Ben & Jim & Henry went hunting to night.

Josie and I got dinner.

This evening I went to Marvins a few minutes.

The road machine worked in front of the house this morning.

Charles Harvey come this morning.

A cloudy day. Ben and Owen plowed. Jim dug potatoes.

Josie got the dinner. She cooked dried beans. The first this fall.

I went to Kate Harveys. Charle was at home fixin up a grind stone.

Edwin Mayhew is boardin there. I went in the store for the first time since Mayhew has bin there.

Carrie & the children was here a while this evening.

Ben & Jim has gone hunting.

A good day. Jim & Ben rambled a round all day. Josie got dinner. I killed a chicken & dressed it ready to cook.

I went to see Kate & Mag. I eat dinner with Kate. She was at home by her self. This evening Dr & Pearl Wiggin and Charles & Irvin Harvey come to Kates. We were at Mags. I was glad to see the children.

I walked all the way home and nearly all the way there. Claude Edmons carried me on their car from our barn to the fork of the road at Johnson Reynolds barn. I was mighty glad of that much help.

Virginia Harvey went back to school to day.

A good day. Ben & Jim solde the last of their tobacco today. They were not pleased with the sales.

Charles Harvey come this morning and got the team & waggon and said he was going to haul his mother some wood. I was glad that he would get some wood for her.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening.

I feel so bad tonight that I cant help crying. I am not sick but things has changed so much at [?]where once was a happy home to what it is now. I am one to my self. I work like a servant but I am a mere nobody in every other way. I guess I should not say any thing a bout it but I holde it and not say. No one knows but my self.
