303 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE July 16/83 municipal purposes for the year 1883." Thereupon after due consideration the same is adopted upon the following vote, towit: In favor of adoption Collins, Cosper, Clancy, Gasch, McDonald and Rasin. Against adoption none. Miscellaneous Ordered that the Street Commissioner be & he is hereby instructed to fill in with earth the tank corner 3rd and Washington Streets. And now the Street Committee make their report awarding the contract for the Improvement of Fourth Street under Ordinance No. 395 as amended by Ordinance No. 408 to Murphy and Stewart on their bid. Thereupon the Council finding their bid to be the lowest bid & the said Murphy & Stewart to be the lowest responsible bidders. It is ordered that the contract be awarded to them upon their executing a good and sufficient bond in the sum of $3000.00 with sureties to be approved. And now the Street Committee make their report awarding the contract for the Improvement of Ninth Street under Ordinance No. 395 to Murphy and Stewart on their bid. Thereupon the Council finding their bid to be the lowest responsible bidders. It is ordered that the contract be awarded to them upon their executing a good and sufficent bond in the sum of $3000.00 with sureties to be approved And now the Street Committee make their report awarding the contract for the Improvement of Cherry Street under Ordinance No. 395 to Keenen and Cummings on their bid. Thereupon the Council finding their bid to be the lowest bid and the said Keenen and Cummings to be the lowest reponsible bidders. It is ordered that the contract be awarded to them upon their executing a bond with good and sufficient sureties in the sum of $4000.00. And now the Street Committee make their report awarding the contract for the grading on South 3rd Street under Ordinance No. 399 to Keenen and Cummings on their bid. Thereupon the Council finding their bid to be the lowest responsible bid and said Keenen and Cummings to be the lowest responsible bidders. It is ordered that the contract be awarded.
