The subscribers, being Proprietors of lots in the Cemetery of Mount Auburn, hereby signify their assent to the Act of the Legislature passed the , entitled an Act to incorporated the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn.— Dated .

The Subscribers agree to pay the sums annexed to their names respectfully, for the purpose of [promising?] a marble Statue of the late Joseph Story to be placed in Mount Auburn Chapel, under the direction of a committee to be chosen by the subscribers, at a meeting to be called by the Trustees of Mount Auburn Cemetery, when they shall deem the sum subscribed to be sufficient for the purpose.
