To the Mayor & Common Council of the city of Seattle. Your petitioner would represent that on Nov 10th 1883 a license was granted to one Geo Peters for the period of three months for the sale of liquors etc.. That your petitioner furnished the money to obtain a license, to S. Baxter & Co he who paid it, to wit: $75.00 into the city treasury. That petitioner agent Robert Isaac went to the clerk & to the license committee and fraudulent took out said license in the fic- titous name of one George Peters, a person not in existence. That petitioner proceeded to sell under said license not having discovered that it was in a ficticious name until about the 27th of Nov 1883 when she was arrested for selling liquor without a license & fined therefor your petitioner has not sold under said license since said last date and now asks as a matter of equity that $50.00 of said $75.00 be returned to her and that on such return the license in the
