Osborne clerk Approved H G Struve mayor Oct 6/82 Be it remembered that on this the 6th day of October 1882 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its council chambers pursuant to law The following officers are present, to wit: His Honor the Mayor H.G. Struve and councilmen O.F. Cosper, Charles F. Clancy, Fred Gasch, Charles McDonald and U.M. Rasin. Thereupon the following proceedings are had: Petitions Recieved From August Hess et al with reference to certain proposed changes in Front Street grade. Referred to Committee on Streets and Street Improvements From S.F. Coombs et al with reference to certain proposed changes in Front Street grade. Referred to Committee on Streets and Street Improvements From A.B. Young praying for a reduction in his assessment. Laid on the table. From H.G. Struve et al for the grading of Pine Street from Front Street to the alley between Front and Second Streets. Referred to the Committee on Streets and Street Improvements. From August Hess against the removal of earth in Pine Street. Referred to the Committee on Streets and Street Improvements From Roside Scott et al asking for certain changes

Ordered that the application of W.F Hall for Retail liquor license for 3 months from May 1, 1885 be & is hereby granted. In favor of granting the same Harrington, Yesler & Rinehaart.

Ordered that the Council stand now adjourned until Wednesday May 20, 1885 at 8 o'clock p.m.

Young reduced on mortgage $1000 David Kellogg reduced on mortgage $300 Bailey Gatzert reduced on mortgage to $75 Terry Estate reduced on mortgage $600 L.J.Holgate reduced on mortgage $1000 W.P. Boyd reduced on mortgage $50 Thos. T. Minor reduced on mortgage $125 Wm Copeland reduced on mortgage to $300 J.W. Chew reduced on mortgage $350 Ordered that the assessor be & is hereby instructed to make certain corrections in the assessments of Sarah M. Renton, J.W. George, Henry Adams, Walter France, E.S. Briscoe & - Lamborn
