64 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Be It remembered that on this the 9th day of May at 7 1/2 o'clock pm 1882, the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets as a Board of Equalization pursuant to adjornment of May 8th 1882 Present His Honor the Mayor L.P. Smith and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, John Collins, M. Densmore, Wm. A. Jennings, John Keenan, and Charles McDonald Thereupon the Council proceeds to the Equalization of said general assessment Roll for 1882, and the hearing of all complaints touching the same until adjournment. And now at 9 1/2 o'clock PM the Council adjourns until May 10th at 7 1/2 o'clocl Attest E S Osborne, Clerk Approved L.P. SmithMayor Be it remembered that on this the 10th day of May 1882, the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Committee Chambers as a board of Equalization pursuant to adjournment of May 9th 1882 Present His Honor the Mayor L.P. Smith and Councilmen Thomas Clancy, John Collins, M. Densmore, Wm. A. Jennings, John Keenan, and Charles McDonald Thereupon the Council proceeds with the examination and correction of the assessment Roll for the year of 1882. Ordered that the Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to cause written notices to be served by the City Marshall upon the following named persons informing them that the Council propose to increase their respective assessments and that they may appear on Monday May 15th 1882 at 7 1/2 PM to make known their objections thereto; Franenthal Bros, Schwabacher Bros & Co, Harrington & Smith, S. Kenney, C.P. Stone, Boyd & Poncin, L.S.Rown, J.H. Sanderson, Wald & Campbell, F.W Wusthoff W Chong. Ordered that the Council stand adjourned until May 11th 188s Attest Clerk Approved L.P. Thereupon the Council proceeds to the equalization of said general assessment roll for 1882, and to the hearing of all complaints touching the same until adjournment.

256 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Aug 10 1887 Ordered that W P Boyd &Co be reduced on personal property from $15,000 to $10,000. Ordered that Boyd Poncin & Young $755 on personal property acct mortgage wrongfully assessed. Ordered that Boyd & Poncin be reduced $218 on personal property the saem being an old mortgage. Ordered that R C Boyd be reduced on personal property $800 acct mortgage wrongfully assessed. Ordered that Lot 10 Block 18 Eades & Knight's Addn be assessed to J T Thompson the same having been omitted by the assessor. Also that Lots 1, 2, 3, 11 & 12 Block 18 Eades & Knight's Addition be assessed to J I Thompson and the same stricken from E J Dawne's asst. Ordered that George Misener be reduced on personal property $600 and on Improvements on Lot 3 Block 21 A A Denny's Addn from $1000 to $300; and that he be raised on Improvements on Lot 2 Block 21 A A Denny's from $100 to $50.00 Ordered that Lots 7 & 8 B 26 North Seattle Addn be reduced from $550. & $600 to $500 each and assesssed to N H Latimer and stricken from D T Denny's list Also that Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 Block 2 Jackson St Addn be assessed toN H Latimer and stricken from R H Denny's list. Ordered that Ada W Anderson be assessed on easterly one third of lots 5 & 6 Block 94 Terry's 2nd addn $310 instead of thwo thirds of said lots valued at $610.
