To the Hon Mayor and City Council of the City of Seattle, The undersigned petitioners who are Residents and Real Estate owners on Depot Street, would respectfully ask your honorable Body to cause Depot Street to be opened from Broadway to Madison Streets, that there is a great need for such improvement to enable people to build on said street, also to accomodate travel in that part of the city. Petition to Extend City Limits of Seattle To the Honorable, the City Council, the Legislative Body of the said city of Seattle, hereby respectfully petition that the boundaries of the City of Seattle be altered and extended so as to include the new territory hereinafter described within the said City of Seattle after proceedings had as required by law, and that you submit to the electors of said city and to the electors residing in the said territory hereinafter described, the question whether said territory shall be annexed to said City of Seattle and become a part thereof. Gentlemen:I earnestly, petition your Honorable Body, to grant me the privilege of erecting a Street Clock in front on my place of business, at 604 Front Street. The said Clock to stand on an Iron Piller, 15 feet high, 14 inches square at the base, and to stand on the Edge of the side-walk, near the Curb. the siad Clock to cost not less that $600.00 to be a reliable Time-keeper, and an ornament to the City.
