To The Honorable the Mayor, Council and Board of Aldermen of the City of Seattle, State of Washington. We the undersigned citizens and tax payers of said City of Seattle respectfully represent: The Ordinance No 1522 of said city is oppressive exorbitant and unjust on all parties who wish to take out license for the first time and give entertainments in public places where intoxicating liquors are disposed of. That the Ordinance is in the interest of one or two persons who have already paid their license for a year in advance and its effect is to give them a monopoly and shut conpetitors out, We therefore respectfully pray for the repeal of said Ordinance and the passage of a just and equitable one effecting all parties equally in its place.
