Ledger a worthy member of our union the privilege selling from house to house without licence[sic] articles of her own manufacture. Petition of Margaret Sullivan in regard to the grade of Fifth Street at the corner of Terrace Street read and referred to the Committee on Streets & Street Improvements Petition of F H Peterson & others for the opening of Alley through Block 4 of Maynard's Plat read and referred to Street Committee. Communication from H F Frahm in regard to payment of Street Improvement warrants read and referred to the City Attorney. Petition of E F Adams and others for the revocation of liquor licenses granted L V Schnyder read and referred to Committee on License and Revenue. Petition from School Board of School District No 1 asking for the use of the Old North School House, (now occupied by Hose Co No 7) for school purposes. Read & granted on condition the school District puts up a suitable shed on the lots for housing the Hose Cart etc. Committee Reports Rec'd From Committee on License and Revenue rejecting petition of Mrs H S Parkhurst & others against granting a license for a slaoon on Second Street betweeen Cherry &Columbia Streets adopted. From Same Committee on petition of W R Brawley & others for revocation of Liquor license of Alden S Chase recommending that the said Alden S Chase be cited to appear before the Council at its next meeting and show cause why his said license should not be revoked. Adopted.
