motion of Mr Snow, it was

Voted, – that the Treasurer of this corporation be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execuite this Indenture on the part of the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn.

Saml P. Languaid Qu. as to his Cont. for p. c. with G. referred to Com. on Lots with powers.

Mr Snow, in behalf of the Committee on Lots, having stated that certain questions had been raised by Mr Saml P. Langmaid, proprietor of Lot #170, Laurel Av., respecting the obligations assumed by the corpn in a contract for the perpetual repair with guaranty of the said Lot, dated , it was

Voted, – that the subject be referred to the Committee on Lots with full powers.

T. F. & F. L. Gilman, Claim of for compensation referred to Com. on Grounds.

A communication from Messrs. T. F. & F. L. Gilman, by their Att'y N. B. Bryant, covering a claim for damages occasioned by the overturning of a loaded team caused by an alleged defect in one of the avenues of the Cemetery, having been presented, it was

Voted, – that said communication be referred to the Committee on Grounds.

Messrs P. O'Brien & Co. To be notified to discontinue practice of doing work without permit It having been made to appear to the Board that Messrs. P. O'Brien and Co., in disregard of the injunctions of the Superintendent, were in the practice of filling orders for work upon private Lots without having first obtained a permit from the Secretary, contrary to the By-Laws of the corporation, – on motion of Mr Choate it was

Voted, – that the Secretary be directed to notify

A monthly meeting of the Trustees was held on Wednesday , at Four o'clock P. M.

Present, Messrs J. T. Bradlee ^Brewer Browne, Choate, Lawrence, Perkins, Pickering, Snow and Spelman.

The record of the last meeting was read and approved.

Intervening space: Sec'y. authorized to pass deeds of Lots contracted to be sold without.

On motion of the Chairman of the Committee on Lots, it was

Voted, – that the Secretary be authorized to prepare and deliver deeds of Lots numbered 4338 and 4339 on Yew Avenue, contracted to be sold without intervening space, as shown on the Report of the Superintendent for

Tropical Plans: appropriation of $100. – for purchase of, ordered

The same gentleman having submitted a communication from the Superintendentated, requesting a small appropriation to be used in the purchase of tropical plants for the green-houses and display in the grounds in hot weather, it was, upon the recommendation of the Committee,

Voted, – that the recommendation of the Committee on Lots be concurred in, and the sum of one hundred dollars, ($100) ^be appropriated for the purpose named.

Moss Path Re-location of.

A report was received from the Committee on Grounds to whom at the last meeting was referred the Superintendent's communication of respecting proposed re-location of Moss Path, and also the claim of the Messrs. Gilman, by N. B. Bryant, their attorney for
