Dear Sir

I have your sample of the handles of compositions you propose to make for me & should consider them satisfactory if fully up to sample & should prefer them fully as heavy as the pattern. The sample is a little light.

You may make one 255 handles which with the sample will make 256, the price being $140 (one hundred and forty dollars) for the lot complete, and I will send you a template which the bolts on the handles are to fit, and which you can hand to Messrs. Bowker Torrey & Co to drill the holes in the marble doors by, as soon as you are through. I shall want the template returned to me.

As soon as finished send the handles to me at the Cemetery by Emerson's Watertown Express.

Dear Sir

On the 23^rd of Dec^r last the body of William Hildreth was brought here for interment by you. The usual permit from the City was not presented by you at the time and the two written requests which I have made that it be sent here, have not been replied to.

Unless the permit is received here within one week from date I shall take the steps provided in such cases by the laws of the Commonwealth.

Please furnish us with (12) twelve Ross Lawn mowers like those last made, the price of which I understand to be $10.⁰⁰ each with a discount of $1.⁰⁰ per mower or $9.⁰⁰ net.

Would like to have them on or before April 1 ^st. You can notify me when ready or ship by Emerson's Watertown Express.
