Messrs Parker & Gannett

Dear Sirs

Your favor of the 11th just received The corporation keep the grass cut and make all necessary repairs to the bedding on all lots sold by them, without any additional days per annum, a portion of the price of the lot being laid aside for this purpose.

In some parts of the Cemetery lots are sold when the proprietors can fence or curb with stone, but cannot enclose with a hedge. Lots of 300 sq feet, the size usually laid out cost from $850 to $1150 according to locations. These are in the Old part of the cemetery. On the Southern slope of the Tower is some desirable land for lots, quite high; here lots are lain out on the lawn plan, which restricts the proprietors from erecting any fence or stone curbing.

The lots are marked with stone posts level with the sod; monuments can be erected, also headstones not exceeding 2 1/2 feet in height. A 300 ft lot on path costs $660 which includes the lot, the perpetual care of the graves, and the boundary posts. The lots are now all complete except [for posts?]. On the avenue, the same size lot costs $810.

Should be happy to meet your Mr Parker at the cemetery & show him the lots.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering
