Trustees, . Supt's Comee to N. J. Bradlee in regard to probable erection of Horse R. R.
(c) A communication addressed by the Superintendent to Mr. N. J. Bradlee, dated , enclosing the above named copy of Report and Vote, and stating that the President of the Horse Railroad Company was of opinion that the proposition would be met by them "in a liberal spirit." To this Communication were
Approval of 8 Trustees to the Plan to maximum cost of $875.00
appended the signatures of eight Trustees of Mt Auburn Cemetery in approval of the Superintendent's "notifying the City that the "Cemetery Corporation will pay one quarter of the expense of paving "in front of the Gateway [as 2 mentioned] [not exceeding $875.] in the Report of the City Government on ."

(d) A communication addressed by the Superintendent to Mr. N. J. Bradlee dated , enclosing the papers above named, and stating that if the Trustees should formally approve the arrangement at their next Meeting the work could probably be done this fall.
Formal Approval of the above Plan by Vote.
After full consideration it was
Voted, – that the Secretary be instructed to notify the City of Cambridge that the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn will pay one fourth part of the expense of paving the space opposite to the Gateway in the manner set forth in the Superintendent's Petition to the Honorable the Mayor and Aldermen of ; provided that the said one fourth part of the expense shall not exceed the sum of eight hundred and seventy-five dollars ($875.00)

The Secretary having read a communication dated , addressed to the Trustees of Mount Auburn Cemetery by Messrs Henry W. Dutton and Son, Publishers of the Daily Evening Transcript, enquiring whether an Order given to them by a member of this Board for the discontinuance of a certain series

of articles entitled "Mount Auburn Memoranda" was done by the authority of the Board of Trustees; it was
Sec'y. instructed to reply to above communication
Voted, – that the Secretary be instructed to reply to the letter from the Publishers of the Transcript dated this day, informing them that the Board of Trustees have never taken any official action in respect to the publications referred to.
Statement, &c. of Treasurer to Referred to Com. on Finance.
The Treasurer having submitted his Statement for the 3d quarter ending , together with Trial Balances for the same date, it was
Voted, – that the above papers be referred to the Committee on Finance.
Upon the petition of the parties in interest representatives were designated for Lots as follows; – viz:
