To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle,

Gentlemen: Your committee on Judiciary and Legislation to whom was referred the petition of Mary Costello, praying for a return of a portion of the taxes of 1884, assessed against the petitioner, find the facts as stated in this petition, but in view of the large number of similar cases in the city assessment list for 1884, your committee beg to report the petition back to your honorable body without recommendation.

Application of Melody Choir for reduction in valuation acct mortgage rejected.
