Seattle, September 19th, 1893.

To the Hon. Board of Public Works, of the City of Seattle, Wash.

Gentlemen:

Your petitioners, residents and property owners at Fremont and Edgewater, hereby petition your Honorable Body to order the ten arc lights that are to be erected in Fremont and Edgewater to be placed on the top of poles. The section to be lighted from these lamps has but few buildings and all of them are low; if the lights can be placed high a much larger territory would be illuminated, and many streets would receive the benefit from such lights that would not if they were suspended across the intersection of the streets.

Seattle, Wash. April 24th, 1893 To the honorable chairman & members of the Board of Public Works of the City of Seattle. Gentlemen: We the undersigned residents and tax payers of the City of Seattle, residing at Fremont, would respectfully represent to your honorable body THAT WHEREAS, We are all depedent upon the system of water works operated by Messers L. A. Griffith and Isaac Burlingame, for the supply of water consumed by us and the other residents of said locality AND WHEREAS, it is necessary that additions to and extensions of the lines of water pipe in use by said Griffith and Burlingame for supplying water, be made from time to time to accomodate the residents of said locality, THEREFORE, we do hereby petition your Honorable Body to grant a permit to said Griffith and Burlingame, to extend and add to the said lines of pipe, from time to time as the same may become necessary for the purposes above specified.

To The Honorable Chairman & Members Of The Board of Public Works Of The City of Seattle.

Gentlemen:

The undersigned respectfully represent to your Honorable Body that they are engaged in furnishing water to the residents of that portion of the City of Seattle commonly known as Fremont, by means of pipes laid along various streets in said portion of the City, and that it is necessary for the welfare and accommodation of said locality, that the said lines of pipe be extended from time to time, and that new lines be laid in order that water may be furnished to parties desiring the same.

We would therefore ask your Honorable Body to issue to the undersigned and to their successors in interest, the right and privilege of making such extensions and additions along the streets and alleys of said portion of the City at such times as may be necessary or convenient for the purposes above stated.
