Trustees _ Sept. 10. 1867

The Trustees held the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, the tenth day of September A. D. 1867, at 10 o'clock a.m. _

There were present the President & Messrs Austin, Bowditch, Cheever, Livermore and Norcross. _

The Secretary read the record of the last meeting.

Teams forbidden to enter the front gate.

Voted that hereafter no teams shall enter the front gate at Mont Auburn.

Report of Com. _ to procure office.

Mr Livermore for the Committee to procure an office for the Trustees reported the following memorandum of agreement: _

To have offices in 2^d story front, 16 Pemberton Sq. for 5 or 10 yrs. @$750. per an. also pay, taxes & for water, gas & heating _

"It is agreed between the Trustees of Mount Auburn and E. Bangs, Trustee, that the former shall have a lease of five, or ten years, at their option, of two rooms in the Second story, front, of 16 Pemberton square, at seven hundred and fifty dollars, per annum, they to pay taxes, water rates, gas, and heating, _ possession to be given and lease made as soon as possible. _

Aug. 29. 1867 (signed) E. Bangs, Trustee."

Accepted for 10 yrs. _

Voted to accept said lease for the term of ten years. _

Representation of Lots _

Upon the petition of the parties in interest representatives were designated for the lots in connection with which they are named as follows: _

1500 Frederick A. Benson of Newton, son of John Benson, deceased proprietor of the lot numbered 1500;

1705 Samuel Gilbert, of Boston, son of Samuel Gilbert, deceased proprietor of lot numbered 1705. _

Lease of Office _ Execution of in behalf of the Corpⁿ authorized, when approved by Com^ee _

The Secretary laid before the Board a lease drawn in duplicate, from Edw^d Bangs and Frank Hopkinson, Trustees, to this Corporation of the two front, second story rooms of house no. 16 Pemberton Square, for the term of ten years from January 1, 1868, upon the terms contained in the memorandum of agreement heretofor reported to this Board. [ante, p. 132].

Upon which it was

Voted that the said lease shall be executed in behalf of this Corporation in the usual manner, when it shall have been approved by the Committee which contracted for the same (mesrrs Rand & Livermore).
