Dear Madam

The snow has now so far disappeared as to enable me to see what could be added to your lot. I find that a strip 7 feet deep could be added on the back, which would allow of one more row of burials across the lot, and that land enough could be added on the North side (say a strip 21/2 feet wide to make three additional burials).

In order to do this, it will be necessary to remove the fence and leave four granite posts at the corners, and the grade of the lot would have to be lowered somewhat, but the graves now in the lot need not be disturbed.

The expense of the addition and of putting the lot in order, that is removing the fence, leaving a good granite post at each corner, regrading the lot & sodding, would be two hundred and fifty dollars, and you would be able to make at least eight more burials in the lot.

Yrs very truly J.W. Lovering

Mrs. Thomas. J. Homer Roxbury

Dear Madam

Your son asked me some weeks ago in regard to the cost of granite buttresses for the steps on your lot #4666. Not being able to find his address I write to you - we could not furnish and set suitable buttresses for less than $75~

Perhaps if you were to deal direct with a stonecutter you might get them at a somewhat [?]

Very respectfully James W Lovering pr J.C.S. Supt
