Col. C.W. Folsom

Dear Sir

Mr. J.G. Wetherell lot #1170 informs me his lot was sodded some time ago, and never did [?] & that you agreed to top dress it & serviced &c at Corporation's expense -

I have informed him that if you made any such agreement with him, that I would carry out your promise -

Will you be kind enough to inform me.

Yrs truly J.W. Lovering

John H. Thorndike Esq

Dear Sir.

I have sent an altered bill "without plants" on lot 506 to the Treasurer who will forward it to you. The orders as to [vines?] &c were given some time ago, so that it is to late to stop them this season.

I never received any information from Col. Folsom in regard to who to take orders from. The lot stands on the books in name of Geo. Quincy Thorndike I find. If it has come into your possession you would confer a favor by letting the Secretary know that we may have our books properly corrected.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt

Geo. Quincy Thorndike

Dear Sir

Please inform me who acts as your representative with authority in regard to lot 506 Mt Auburn Cemetery. Several parties have been accustomed [to] give orders from time to time. One has placed a letter on file with us directing that no work be done except such as is ordered by him. Another has given orders for certain work and we know not whether to execute it or not

Early attention and a decisive answer will oblige

Yours truly

James W Lovering Supt
