The Following officers are present to wit: His Honor the Mayor Thomas T Minor Councilmen Furth, Frink, Green, Lake, Moran, Reitze and Russell, and W R Forrest clerk. Petitions and Communications Petitions of Robert Abrams for permission to remove and alter a wooden building on Front Street near Pike Street read and referred to Committee on Fire and Water, Petition of A L Palmer for permission to alter and repair a wooden building on Front Street near Pike Street read and referred to Committe on Fire and Water. Petition of Frank Dupont for permission to erect a one story building to be used as a fish market at the foot of Madison Street read and referred to Committee on Fire & Water Communication from Austin A Bell to the council as follows: "Will you kindly confer upon the undesigned the pleasure of presenting to your Captain of Police James H Woolery through your honorable body, the accompanying cane to show my appreciation of his bravery and presence of mind in preventing a serious accident to my family on Sunday evening March 25th 1888.
