S.T. Snow Esq Ch. Comm on Lots
Dr Sir
I think by the following means if it meets your approval, more work might be kept in the hands of the Corporation & also the "boundary marks & grade of lots" would be more under control. viz "that the committee on Lots direct me to require of each purchaser of a lot in future, an order "to post, grade & sod, & cut numbers;" or if he intends to curb the lot to "set clamps, lead curb, & grade & sod lot & cut number, if not cut."
By this means the annual care would come into our hands for a year & probably remain.
It can be applied to tomb lots if best.
Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt.

Dear Madam:
Your orders for Foundations have been received and will be promptly attended to. Owing to some annoyances which have arisen from paths around the Lots this past summer, the Committee of Trustee's who overlook all matters connected with Lots, have instructed me to allow no paths to be put around Lots except by their special consent.
I have laid the matter before them, and they will look at the Lot the first time they come out.
Very Respectfully James W. Lovering per Childs
