Com. on Grounds authorized to Expend $500 in trees, shrubs, &c

On motion of Mr Rand,

Voted that the Committee on Grounds be authorized to expend a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars in renewing and introducing trees, shrubs, plants and flowers during the present year. _

Communicaton of Supt respecting H.N. Gardner _

A communication from the Superintendent representing Henry N. Gardner of Belmont, who has heretofore assumed the care of lots solicited by him of proprietors - as an unsuitable man to do any work in the Cemetery, was read: _

The Board being satisfied from fact, coming to the knowledge of the Trustees that the Statement of the Superintendent were true: _

Gardner Excluded from working in the Cem.y

On motion of Mr Rand, it was

Voted that the Secretary be instructed not to issue any permit for the employment of Henry N. Gardner on any lot in the Cemetery.

Communication of John H. Jenks respecting piece of land adjoining his lot, 1845 _

A communication from Mr John H. Jenks, proprietor of lot numbered 1845, representing that a small triangular piece of ground contiguous to his lot to which he claimed as belonging to said lot, but which he had never designated with boundary posts, had been sold as lot numbered 3276 to M.B. Markham _ was referred to the Committee on Lots with full power. _

Trustees. . Payt authorized

Voted, – that the Treasurer be authorized to pay Mr Snow's Bill amounting to $75.00 for services rendered as a counsel for the corporation in the above suit

Upon the petition of the parties in interest, representatives were designated for Lots as follows, viz; –

518 Eliza F. Bridgham, (Mrs Saml W.) of New York, daughter of Samuel Fales, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Five hundred and eighteen.

1770 Martha G. Smith, (Mrs. Robert) of Boston, sister of Mrs Caroline Amiling (formerly Langley) deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Seventeen hundred and seventy.

1845 Henry F. Jenks of Boston, son of John Henry Jenks deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Eighteen hundred and forty=five.

2156 Edward A. Locke of Boston, son of Edward Locke deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Twenty=one hundred and fifty=six.

Voted, – that when this Meeting adjourns it adjourn to meet at the call of the special Committee to whom was referred the communications of the President made this day.
