J.E. Morrison Esq.

Dr Sir

I saw the late Supt Col. Folsom on yesterday & he says your lots were sold you on the corner of Ash and Halcyon Aves, but without any promise as to the path, so that I cannot recommend the committee to allow you to take the addition you have enclosed in any other way than by paying for it.

Whenever you have obtained the deed for this addition, I can assist you in exchanging your deeds for new ones, dividing the new lots as you spoke of The grading & sodding on the lots will be attended to.

Yours respectfully James W. Lovering Supt.

Wm W. Whitcomb Esq.

Dr Sir

In order to exchange your deeds, I find it customary & desirable to have a survey made of the lots so as to show the proposed changes. It has been customary to do this at the expense of the proprietor desiring the change. If you will authorize me to do this for you, I will attend to it & then lay the whole matter before the Trustees.

Yours truly James W. Lovering Supt

C.E. Morrison Esq.

D[ea]r Sir

Your favor of the at hand, and I would say in reply that the four lots 4190, 1. 2. 3, with additional space make 1473 feet, which you can divide into four lots. 3 of 368 feet each = 1104 and one lot of 369 feet - 369 making a total of 1473 sq feet. So that all that is necessary is for you to take the space & make the application.

Mr Baker has an order from one to put the sod in order.

Yours truly James W. Lovering Supt.

Moses Stevens Esq. Boston

D[ea]r Sir

In looking up the matter of the space between your lot and the curbed lot next East, I can see no remedy for the thing unless the slope of the bank is made more graded which would bring it onto your lot, and I suppose you would not consent to having your posts moved, and making the lot smaller. The bank as now sloped is too steep for a sod to remain long.

Respectfully James W. Lovering
