Walter Hastings Esq.

Dear Sir

I have carefully examined your lot as now curbed & also the proposed addition as last reported by Col. Folsom & have come to the conclusion that the plan as shown by him, was the most feasible way to increase the size of lot.

Yours rerspectfully James W. Lovering Supt

Mount Auburn

John T. Bradlee Esq. Prest

Dear Sir

I regret to inform you that the Bridge across the two portions of Auburn Lake is unfit for service & in my opinion needs renewing. The timbers are old & unsound. I estimate the cost of replacing on the present plan at $325.

The cost of new benches for Chapel, similar to those now there will be $16. each.

Yours respectfully James W. Lovering Supt

Dear Sir

I called at your office today but did not find you. The posts are being set, the delay having been, in waiting for our surveyor to stake the right points.

I can find no charge against you for any tulip trees - only for some magnolias - It has been too dry this spring to do anything about them, & therefore I have been waiting till I happen to see you again.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt

H.W. Longfellow Esq.

Walter Hastings Esq. 16 Pemberton Sq. Boston

Dear Sir,

Your favor is rec'd the reason we have not removed the dead trees in your lot and set out new ones in their place is that it would be of no use to do this until fall, we had already given directions to do this and it will be done as soon as the proper time arrives. We have entered your order for Lot of Benj. R. Tinslar #3544 and will see it promptly executed

Respectfully James W. Lovering Supt. J.E.C.
