A good day. Ben & Jim went to Mr Hutcherson. Woodings and got a pig then stripped tobacco a while then fixed to go to Chatham. Marvin went with them. They got some [logs?/dogs?] Ben & Tim Emerson went to Strait Stone to the lodge. They have just got home now.

I helped to strip tobacco nearly all day. Henry B & Luke and Norman Owen tied for me this evening. We had finished what was in the pit and was on our way to the house when Mr Jim Emerson & Sarah Emerson and two children come. I was glad to see them.

Josie got dinner. I heard this evening that Denia Blair is sick. I am very sorry to hear it. Hope she may get well soon. I want to go to see her soon.

A good day. Ben & Jim and Owen put tobacco in the pit this morning. This evening they covered the hog pen. Henry went to Renan this morning and to Charley Hutcherson this evening. He paid for some meal that I bought and carried the sack home.

Josie and I got the dinner. Josie made Edna a pink dress. She is very glad of it.

Beatrice Owen come this evening. Paul & Roy and Rees was here a little while to day. Mrs. Owen put in a quilt to day. She had Mrs Dews quilting frames. I cant find two of mine.

A good day & very warm Jim hauled a load of rock this morning and this evening Ben & Jim loaded up the olde pit Ben went after Mrs Carr I was so glad for her to come Carrie & Kate came down a little while this evening Mrs Owen came this morning

I had a fall tonight I had a bucket of peas and a lighted lamp in my hands The Lamp did not break or the chimney it hurt me a little I am glad it was no worse 9 o'clock

Partly cloudy and a few drops of rain today Ben & Jim worked on the olde pit Miss Alice Wooding came to see Josie

Carrie bathed Edna & Franklin this evening I went to Carries a few minutes this evening Marvin went to Altavista this evening he bought me some loaf bread & chees

A cloudy morning. Clear this evening. Ben & Owin filled up a mud hole in the road. Ben broke his plow beam. Jim come at twelve. They put some tobacco in the pit.

Josie went to Marvins this morning and Carrie come here a little while this evening. She left all the children at home.

I ironed some this morning. Mended my blankets this evening.

Miss Eliza Carter called on Carrie this morning a few minutes. Charley Harvey brough Jim from Gretna this morning.

Henry went to Marvins to night.
