A changeable day. Some times sunshine and then rain. It is raining now.

Jim and I staid at home all day. Ben & family went to Mr Powers. We had pies and sausage for dinner. I intended to go to Marvins but they were not at home this evening.

I turned up my clock tonight. I dont like that a bit but every one will have to do it.

A very colde windy day. Jim plowed. Ben cleaned up on the branch. Mr Owen staid at home. He has a new baby born this morning at three oclock.

Betty Davis washed here today. Josie got dinner. She cooked beans and baked coconut pies. I did not do much of any thing.

Josie went to Renan this evening. Carried some eggs and bought a few things. Kate Harvey come a few minutes this evening. I walked with her as far Marvins. Carries baby was not well. Hope she may soon be well.

A good day. Ben & Owen worked on their tobacco land. Jim plowed some in the garden.

Bettie Rosser washed.

Mary and Mintie and I and Edna & Henry went to Johnsons. Nannie Kate Reynols & her baby come over there.

Josie baked some pies for dinner. I cut salit.

I went to Renan. Paid Lewis what I owed him. Bought some prunes & candy.

My shoes that Josie ordered come. I got a little check interest on my bonds.

A good day cool for May. We all staid at home until after dinner. Nellie Brumfield was here. We had fried chicken and coconut pies for dinner. This evening Ben and Jim and Josie and Franklin went with Nellie to Gretna. They were gone three hours. I went to Marvins

Maggie Brumfield and two children was there. I was glad to see them

A good day. We all staid at home until dinner then Ben & family went to Jim Powers. Jim and I staid at home.

Marvin and family come all but Reese. I certainly was glad that they come.

Josie and I got dinner. We had new Irish potatoes and fried chicken, beets, and chocolate pies.

I stopped Lucius & his wife and had a look at their little daughter. She is a fine child.
