167 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Mar 18 1887 Miscellaneous On motion of Councilman Furth the petitions for sidewalks on Seventh Street hereto fore filed are re-referred to the Street Committee The Chief of Police having stated that Police Officer Tobias Butler had been absent from duty for about two months without leave, on motion of Councilman Furth Officer Butler's place on the police force is decreed vacant. On motion of Councilman Hinckley Charles Robinson is elected a member of the Police force to fill the vacancy caused by the removal of officer Butler, by a unanimous vote of the council. On motion the matter of Exending Madison Street is referred to the Street Committee and Judiciary Committee. Ordinances An Ordinance is submitted by the Clerk entitled "A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" Which is passed by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Coulter, Furth, Frink, Green, Hinckley, Lake Russell and Reitze. Against the same none. Ordered that the Council do now adjourn W H Shoudy mayor attest W R Forrest clerk Apr 18 1887
