Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of , would say, that the enclosed information (separate sheet), which has been obtained from Mr. Safford, our Undertaker, is the best I know of or can obtain namely, that the name of the person intered in lot #588 Primrose Path is Mrs. Sarah D. Colburn, and that Hon. Jas. Cheever knows considerable about the circumstances of the [memorial?] of the lot
Respectfully Yours C.W. Folsom Supt

Dear Sir,
The supply of Guides which have hitherto been kept on sale by the Gate Keeper is exhausted.
I think it very desireable to Mt. Auburn, that they should be kept on sale.
Accordingly I requested Mr. Safford to make enquiries as to the prospect of obtaining more and his letter and that of the owners of the "Guide" are enclosed.
I also enclose a copy of the latest "Guide" and four (4) old ones
Respectfully Yours C.W. Folsom Per E.T.K.

The marble doors (and brass handles for same,) for the Catacombs now in, are stowed at Engine House attic.
Notes will be found on file of the size of various coffin boxes which we have had on hand for interment; and of the opinion of Mr. Safford, our Undertaker; from which it will be seen that every thing points to the necessity of making the Catacombs higher and wider, in any increase of the Tomb.
My plan for the next set, you will notice, provides for this, and still leaves the cornice at same hight [sic], for uniform effect.

Dear Sir, your note of yesterday has come to hand: & I send the blanks requested. The order for "Removal to the Cemetery" is of no consequence, as it is difficult to keep the distinction, so as to have all orders for rein-- terment made outlaw, and I shall not print any more I send you is what remains of them.
The correction of lots 883 & 885 on the plan shall be attended to.—
I would like to have you [race?] over your entry books and see if your figures for the year agree with mine.
Whole no. internments 698, of which 116 are reinterments. (I generally consider the int. of soldiers brought home within a month or so, a 1st int.) No. depos. in R. Tomb 53: no. in Pub. Lots 67.
Truly yours, A.J. Coolidge Sec.y
