OCTOBER 4

1931. Stayed at home all day Cosby came this afternoon.

1932. I embroidered some today. It rained this morning and it turning cold. We made a fire in the grate this afternoon for the first time this winter.

1933. I got dinner and sewed some today. Fletcher and Stella came a while tonight.

1934. I finished house cleaning the middle Room and house cleaned the kitchen. I got dinner also. A Mr. Robards from Beulah ate dinner with us today.

1935. I made some pear preserves and churned and got dinner this morning. I went to Leona's & helped quilt this afternoon. Mrs. Merrill, Mrs. Oglesby, Margarette, Mary and Mrs. Rigney were there also.

OCTOBER 5

1931. Came to town this morning and went to school studied my lessons tonight.

1932. We washed this morning and I sewed and embroidered this afternoon. Mr. Gene Melton ate dinner with us today.

1933. Amelia, John Marion and I went to the Association at Richland today. We stopped in to see Mrs. Metcalf as we came home.

1934. I cleaned up the house & got dinner today. Leona and William Ross came a little while this morning. I have been nearly sick today.

1935. I got dinner and helped clean up the house . Sis went to town today. I made some button holes & sewed some button's on my new smock this afternoon.
