SEPTEMBER 6

1931. Uncle Guss & Aunt Ermie
spent the day with us. Warren
G. Melton came also. Cosby
came in the afternoon.

1932. Mrs. Melton ate dinner with
us again today. Mother, Dad & I
gathered dried beans this
afternoon.

1933. Lin & Jess came by the [hospit-
-al] & got Red & me & brought us home
and spent the day with us. I
am getting along fairly well.
Stella came to see me
a little while this afternoon.

1934. Mother
& I sewed
some today. [Ocie?] came this afternoon &
brought us a water-melon.

1935: I got dinner, churned, made
some apple jelly and cleaned up
the house today. Leona and Georgie
Belle came a little while this
morning. I went to Leona's a little
while late this afternoon.

SEPTEMBER 7

1931. School Begins today We
only stayed about an hour.
I spent the night at
Bonnie Howard's.

1932. Mother & I washed this
morning. 'ada came this
afternoon. I mailed a letter
to Rex today.

1933. I am some better today
and have been able to set up a
little. Mary and Ruby came to
see me a while this afternoon.

1934. Uncle Brock & I went to
town this morning, and I
went to see Dr. Davis & he gave me
another shot. I took the last typhoid
shot today also. I spent the day with
Jessie. Lin brought me home this
afternoon. Dr. Ross came to see Mr.
Slaton this afternoon. Mr.
Slaton isn't any better.
Sis & Mary had an ice
cream supper tonight but I
didn't go. Sis & Dock went
and Tex went a little
while.

1935. We all
went to town
today except Mr.
Slaton. Mother,
Dad & Uncle
Brock were in
town. Carnell
Sis, Rex & I went
to the ice
at Browder's tonight.
