AUGUST 29

1931. I cleaned up the house & embroidered some today. Ocie came a little while this afternoon.

1932. We washed this morning. Mrs. Mann & Ernest came this afternoon. Ernest is going to stay a few days with us.

1933. I went to see Dr. Finley this morning and he said I should have my tonsils removed. Rex came to Jessie's after me this afternoon & we came home.

1934. Jess came this morning & spent the day with us. Aunt Jessie, Mary & Stella came this afternoon & Jess & I went with them down to Browders's church to the Missionary meeting. Mrs. Rigney was sick so she wasn't there. Modest, Ruby, Jasper & Ronney came a while tonight.

1935. I made some grape jelly, got dinner, cut off 1 bushel of peachers to dry and fixed 1 1/2 gallon of Kraut. Nora Lee came a little while this afternoon.

AUGUST 30

1931. Mrs. Jenkins, Cosby, Erdine. Mother and myself went to Silent Run to the home coming today.

1932. I did part of the ironing this morning. Mother, Ernest & I made some cream today. Raymond Conley came a little while this afternoon.

1933. Sis and Dock washed this morning. Sis and I went to town this afternoon & I went to see Dr. Salmon. I am going to have my tonsils removed tomorrow morning. We stopped in to see Amelia a little while as we came home.

1934. I wrote a letter to Mother today & wrote her a letter yesterday also. I got dinner, cleaned up the house, cut off some apples to dry, churned and made some soap today. I patched a pair of overalls also.

1935. I canned 1/2 gallon of tomatoes, 1/2 gallon of apples, dressed 2 chickens, wrote a letter to Mother and got dinner. Evelyn & Amelia came a little while this afternoon. Elizabeth came this morning.
