APRIL 3

1931. Went to school today, and Rudell came home with me. Mrs. Melton died about 1:30 this morning. She is Mr. Gene Melton's mother.

1932. Stayed at home all day. I studied a little this morning. Mr. & Mrs. Conley & Raymond came this afternoon. Cosby didn't come.

1932. Sis, Reck & I washed this morning. Sis went to see Nora Lee a little while this morning & I cooked dinner. Sis & I started making my new dress this afternoon. We went to Mrs. Walter Merrill's late this afternoon.

1934. I got breakfast, cleaned up the house & got dinner, did part of the ironing & churned today. Leona & Elizabeth came this afternoon.

1935. Sis made me a new dress today and I got dinner. Mother and Uncle Brack spent the day with us. They went home this afternoon.

APRIL 4

1931. Stayed at home all day and finished reading Daivd Copperfield. Rudell, mother & myself played Rook tonight.

1932. came to town this morning and went to school. I got a letter from Cosby today, he is sick. Studied some this afternoon.

1932. We ironed this morning and I read some this afternoon and helped Sis set out some flowers. I read some in "Sweet Girl Graduate" today.

1934. I finished ironing, got breakfast, dinner & cleaned up the house. I finished quilting my quilt this afternoon. Evelyn came a little while this afternoon. Lawrence brought Mr. Slaton home this afternoon. Bill Dude Slaton came a little while late this afternoon.

1935. I went to Mrs. Rigney's & helped quilt some today. Mrs. Sisk and Mrs. Cobb were there also.
