March 4

1931. Went to school today, am some better. Came home this afternoon. There won't be any more school this week.
1932. Went to school today, and came home this afternoon. I got a letter from Cosby today.
1933. Sis and I went to town this morning & spent the day with Jess. We heard the inauguration of President Roosevelt over the radio Rex came to town this afternoon & we went to Mother's & spent the night with her.
1934. Rex and I went to church at Liberty this morning. Joe, Basil & Buck came this afternoon. Joseph, Buc, Basil and I played Rook. Basil & I won the most games. John Marion came this afternoon also.
1935. Sis took Nora Lee to school this morning. Rex, Loyd & Jasper went to town this afternoon. They had Clyde Gipson arrested for breaking in Loyd's house but he says he wasn't down in that part of the country Saturday. Sis went to Lanna this afternoon & will spend the night.

March 5

1931. Stayed at home all day and studied my English a little. mother and myself played rook tonight.
1932. Stayed at home all day and I read some short stories. It has snowed some today, and is turning colder.
1933. Rex and I spent the day with Mother and Dad. We came home late this afternoon.
1934. I cleaned up the house, got dinner and quilted some today.
1935. Rex, Loyd & Jasper are going to a fortune teller to see if she can tell them where there stolen things are & who stole them. We think we know but don't know for sure. They brought me to town this morning & I spent the day with Mrs. Mann & Ernest. Ernest is sick with a sore throat. Uncle Brock came to Mrs. Mann's after me & I came home with him & went to Mother's.
