It has been considerably warmer
today. I walked down to
Ashton & rode back with Friend
Samuel Thomas, on his way
to meeting. Sarah Stabler called
on her way home from meeting.
Willie came about suppertime
to stay all night and go
to Rockville tomorrow morning.

Thur. Sept 3d, 1896.

The Robison party comprising Miss
Mary Tripp Fowler, Bessie R. Phil & Frank
left for Rockville Fair at 7-30
this morning. Willie also went driving
"Sally" in my phaeton. the others taking
the Surry with my "Frank" & the
"Dick" horse hired from "Connell".
Bro Charley & his son Richard called
3.o'clock we had quite a severe
thunder storm. the folks from
the "Fair" were caught by the storm.
Willie reached here about 4.o'clk,
the others remained on the Fair
grounds until after the worst of
the storm was over and brought
Edward & his bicycle with them.
he having come from Lincoln Va
and out to Rockville by rail as
was arranged beforehand. Willie
should have waited longer and
brought his brother with him.
