Sun. June 28th, 1896.

Drove over to see B O Hardy's
infant. Willie going with me.
About one o'clk there came
up a heavy rain with some
thunder & lightning. W. & Fanny
went back to "Fairfield" after
the rain was over (about 4.o'clk).
After supper I walked up to
Henderson's & to the toll gate.
It has been a very hot day
but is perfectly clear tonight
at bed time, & rather cooler.

Mon. June 29th, 1896.

This has been a beautiful
summer day, I drove down to
Robt Blair's before dinner and
washed the phaeton. Edwd
wenst over to Riveside to pick
raspberries for his aunt Lizzie
& came home about 4.o'clk
p.m. Hallie Lea called after
supper. I went up to the store
& P.O. several times. Received
card & papers from J.H. Borden.
