34Ther. Friday, Dec. 21st 1894. S.E. Wind.
I rode on horseback down to Ashton
for some antiseptic absorbent cotton
to use in my ear and over to T. Clark
shop & back before dinner. Afternoon
I went down to Sherwood School to
an entertainment at the closing
of the school for the Christmas
holidays. Hallie Bentley brought
my vaccine crusts from "Morris" &
Marg's [ovens?]. Willie came over to
spend the night with us.
Windy & Clearing
Ther. 35° Saturday Sunday 22.d N.W Wind.
It rained a slight shower last night
and looked like rain early this morning,
but cleared off & was already dry.
Willie drove to Fairfield in Bro Richard's
open buggy. I drove to Riverside calling
at Ashton. I extracted a tooth for Jas
Marlow, home to dinner. Afternoon
Edwd rode to Fairfield to tune their
piano. B Owen Hardy was here for
advice & medicine. I went to the
store, was called to see Mrs. Oldfield
Sr. also went to the mill for corn
for the horse.

I went to meeting, which was a
silent one. Afternoon I went up to
Henderson's for the papers. Louisa
Bowen was here for advice & medicine.
It is much cooler to day
but fine weather. Louise Bowen
was here for advice & medicine.

23° Ther. Monday, 24th S.E. Wind.
Clear & frosty this morning I drove
over to Riverside Edwd going with
me. calling both ways at Ashton &
home to dinner. Jno. W. Johnson called
to see me. Afternoon I rode over to
Flecher Clark's shop & had Frank's
front shoes removed. Willie and
Fanny came to spend Christmas
with us. It has clouded up & looks
& feels like a snow storm.
