Disagreeable & rainy most
of the day - I feel rather better
than yesterday but not well
enough to go out in the rain
unless absolutely necessary.
Gideon Gilpin was here towards
dusk for medicine for himself.

Ther. 68o SATURDAY 24th Wind Variable
Quite hot today. I drove down to
Ashton to M H Evans, E with
me. Lavinia Awkard sent one of
her girls for advice & medicine for
"Susie" who is better.

Ther. 68o SUN. SEPT. 25th, 1892 Wind S.W.
Another hot day for the
time of year. I am feeling very
badly and low spirited.
Chas: Awkard (young son of Old
Bob Awkard) was here after dusk
to consult me & promised to come
again tomorrow or the next day
& bring the money. Hillis Robison
fell out of a tree & injured
himself considerably breaking a
rib & injuring his left wrist. I
went in and "fixed him up" after
dinner.

Ther. 62o MONDAY 26th Wind N.W.
Cooler today the wind
commenced blowing hard at sunrise
& continued all day. I rode over
to Downey's on horseback to see
him about wood. I put up my
new sign, with "office hours" on
the N.E. corner of the office. Miss
Mary Fowler painted it for me.
Afternoon I helped Henderson
put a new "smoke stack" to
his boiler. Helen B Lea was
here with her infant son "Robt",
T."
