Ther. 32o TUES. DEC. 12th, 1893 wind S S W
The ground is frozen this morning
but it seems mild out of doors.
Mr J. T. Henderson called & sat
some time with me & Bro: Rich
came & I trimmed & dressed his
lame toe for him. Dr Magruder
also called & sat with me for
an hour before dinner. After -
noon Alice Peirce came to spend
the night. The wind blew Edwd's
telegraph wire off the insulator
on the telegraph pole across the
road & he & F leizear put it up
again. Hallie Bentley called
before dusk. I recd a letter
from Willie & H from sister
H.

Ther. 23 WED. DEC. 13, 1893 Wind N.W.
Quite cold this morning,
and wind blowing from N.W.
Chas. E. Bond called & brought
up a nice basket of things from
his mother: he spent an hour or
two here which I enjoyed very
much. Fanny Peirce came &
took Alice home after noon
Edwd rode "Frank" to Ashton
& got some pill's for me.
Frank Cook was here for
advice & medicine.
