Herbert Kirk came at about
2 o'clk this a.m. he & Ernest having
ridden from Washington since
11 o'clk last night. they came on
their "bicycles." bringing them from
Philad. on the R.R. to Washington
Mrs B.O. Hardy sent for medicine
After dinner Herbert went on his
bicycle to Riverside. Willie
Edwd. took sister H & Dora in
the "surrey." they all took tea at
Riverside except W. who rode
Frank to E Peirce's & came back
to Riverside after supper and
they drove home "about dark."
Herbert & Ernest also came over
on their bicycles & staid for
a few minutes & went back
again. Mary Parker & Carson
Harvey came & spent the evening
here.

I drove down to B O Hardy's
taking sister H with me as far
as Chas Stabler's where I left her
to spend the day. Herbert came
from Riverside & went also to Chas
Stabler's. Returning after supper
Sister H took tea at Jos. Stabler's.
Miss Emma Scheirer was here
to see us (Henderson & I) as trustees
of the Public School and we
think we have secured her as
Teacher. Mr. BD Palmer also
called to see me afternoon
Fanny Peirce brought Willie
home & took tea with us.
