It was "showery" during last night
until towards morning when it
cleared off from N.W. & with a fine
breeze is delightfully cool and
pleasant. The house woman
"Hannah" came to wash for H
in place of Rachael Cash.
Edward Davis came & paid the
ballance of his account before
breakfast. I drove down to Ashton
& back. Afternoon I mended
the wheelbarrow. Drove down to
Mary T Bond's ("Magnolia") & met
Dr Hunter Robb from the "Johns
Hopkins Hospital". in consultation
taking supper there. Jos Bond Jr:
came back with me on his way
to a "surprise party" at Mrs Massey's

Chas: Stabler called to con-
sult me for "catarrh". Miss Kate
Buckley also called & paid her
bill. Put "paris green" on the
late potatoes. Dr Brooke called
about dusk. This has been a
beautiful day, and to night is
lovely; with a full moon -
which I think is the "Harvest
Moon"
