Ther. 66. Sun. June 25th, 1893 Variable Wind

Warmer weather, but still very
pleasant. Bro R called before
meeting. I went to meeting &
remained to hear Friend
-- Maris lecture, or rather
describe the new "George School"
about to commence, 22 miles
north of Philada in Bucks Co.
Pa: It is to be a "Friends boarding
School Endowed by the will
of a deceased friend who left
$100.000 for that purpose.
We heard an excellent sermon
from Frank Stabler & also
one from Harriet Kirk. (not
sister Harriet) After supper
Edwd went with the friends from
next door to their meeting house
to hear a lecture on "Missionary
work" from Frank Lea
Dandy Powell was here & had a
tooth extracted "howled" fearfully.

Ther. 67 Mon. June 26, 1893 Variable Wind

We had a thunder storm with
quite heavy rain last night commencing
at 1-30 & continuing
until near day light. The sun
rose clear & continued until about
10.o'clk when it clouded over and
we had a succession of thunder
storms & heavy rain until near
sun set. I went to Ashton &
brought the Surry home from
Ent's who has painted it very
nicely. Fletcher Clark was
here to see me in refference
to the meeting of the School
Commissioners at Rockville.
